extra-ordinary life

A picture of a person flashed before me, the person was setting on a rooftop, with a bucket on top of his/her head.

The Lord has been speaking a lot ot me about living an extra-ordinary life and the many aspects of how that is too look, today I feel to share thru the Word the foundational principles of the extra-ordinary life in Jesus Christ.

I heard the Lord pose the question to me today, as I was once again studying this thought thru, What is the miracle of salvation? One answer if found in Hebrews 4:14-16. "For we do not have a HighPriest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted was we are, yet without sin. 16Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

In the previous versus of Ch. 4 in Hebrews the writer talks of "Today", today the Lord is calling us to enter the place of rest and and we are to enter in by believing the miracle of salvation. The truth that Jesus is our perfect righteousness, He is our High Priest.

Often we do not enter "Today" because of the weaknesses, the sin of our flesh,(the bucket) but then we forget the price the High Priest paid, we forget the Miracle of Salvation. It is only by removing the bucket from our heads, going in thru the door Jesus, that we may receive the grace and mercy needed, and the rest required of God. We must remember that God was angry with the children of Israel when they did not enter His rest, He called it disobedience, He called it unbelief. In our own "creative" efforts we try to obey and do all the things we know that truely please God, but we do it on our "creative" efforts and not thru the Lord's rest. They are often good things, but just simply done thru self. I emphasize the word creative because God rested on the seventh day from creating and there is such an emphasis on our obedience right now that we need to be careful that we aren't creating vs. obeying. Only He creates, and only we can rest in His Lordship.

John 10:10 says the theif comes only to kill, to still and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly(meaning, EXTRA-ORDINARY). Jesus just told us in vs. 9, as well as, above mentioned scripture, this life is thru rest, thru the door of Him, us roaming in and out of green pasture. We can successfully, continually wealk in obedience when we are in His rest, our creation is exhaustion.

I encourage each one to enter the throne room thru the blood, and boldly(speaking with candor, with frankness) speak to our Father who is rich in compassion and pity, ready to help His children. Also to remember He says "today", to wait till tomorrow is always the day after! If we are so willing to help our own children, how much more will Father help us?
