Ridding Falsehood

Ridding falsehood....that life is lived on a mountaintop.

The Lord said we would suffer affliction, persecution, said evil of, reviled against, Matt 5:11, He also said BUT to be of good courage for HE has overcome the world, John 16:33.

However because of false thinking we strive for peace and for joy by worldly standards, what will we eat, drink and wear, Matt 6:25-34. We ask the Lord the question as Jeremiah did in Ch.12, "Why do the wicked prosper?"

Also because of false thinking we believe we are to live on the mountaintop vs. living in the valley, (where the people are) as we are to live a mountaintop life in the valley. We are called to be salt and light to the world, Matt 5, as well as, ambassadors of Christ, ministers of reconciliation 1 Cor 5. Sadly, living on the mountain top theory does two things, it inhibits our destiny, our purpose for the Kingdom and we can too easily ignore the issues of our own heart, when challenged with valley living. It is when our faith is tested, to persevere we reflect the image of Jesus or not.

The Lord responded to Jeremiah's question by saying, "If you are weary by runing with the footmen, how can you contend with horses?" If it is hard for us now to live a life of righteousness, humility and repentance, how much harder will it be for us when the world grows darker?

The Call was held in July 2007 in Nashville, TN. It was a time of repentance for allowing sexual immorality, drugs , and false paths of peace. This wasn't only for the past generation, but also for today. The Call is over, but not the cry of the Lord, the call for us to repent from sexual immorality, drugs, covetousness.

The Lord desires we humble ourselves that He may exalt us, Luke 14:11. He also desires to correct us with mere word and not harsh correction, Prov 26:19. We are reminded in Heb 12:3-4, we have not endured such as Jesus to the point of bloodshed, striving against sin. May we cry out as Jeremiah, "Correct Me God, according to Your justice."

Remember thru Jesus we may freely go to the throne of of Grace boldly to obtain Mercy and Grace to help in time of need, Heb 4:16.

Then will our lives be one of integrity, and high moral excellence. Only a tree of good can bear good fruit, Matt 7:20. To sum it all up in Luke 6:19 a scripture jumped out at me in a new way. It says that Jesus was touched by the multitude, and the virtue(power, but also meaning high character) healed them all. Could it be that as we find His Grace and Mercy to walk in victory that we will also find the power of God as well?????
