2008

2008 is a new year filled with new things. Eight is the number of new beginnings. As I was praying for this new year the Lord began to reveal some things to me.

In Jewish culture this can be seen in some of the old law. After seven years of service a slave would be released. After seven years debts were forgiven. After the Year of Jubilee, the seventh seven year or 49^th year, land returned to its original owner. These all created a fresh start, a new beginning for those affected. But most importantly was the creation of the universe, which transpired in six days with the Lord resting on the seventh. And after those seven days had past, on the eight, he handed His creation over to be governed and ruled by the natural and spiritual laws that He had set forth during creation.

The Lord has been working in each of us and in the body as a whole for the past seven years, He has been establishing a perfect order in each of us, a set of laws and orders that will better equip us to walk out His will in power and authority on this Earth. 2007 was a year that peace and rest could be seen in most of His people and now this year He is releasing us into this good order that He has created and been working since 2000. It is our duty this year and the years to come to find out (for those who do not already know) what these laws and orders are that have been so specifically made for us, and then begin to use them according to His purposes. It is in this year of 2008 that we have a new beginning. It is in this year that the Lord has released His body to walk in the laws that He so perfectly established in the past seven years. It is in this year that we begin the beginning and press forward to a call greater than ourselves with the heart of the Father.
