We had our child on the 5th. Micah Yasha Marshall. And this week as I surveyed this wonderful miracle I felt a lesson come forth from his innocence and trust.
He is a baby, if we (his parents and others that are grown and have come before him) do not take care of him by feeding, changing and making sure he is healthy he will die. The same is true with the church and new believers. Baby Christians need to be taken care of, changed when dirty, fed food that is in accordance with their age and made sure they are healthy. And it is the Churche's job to do these very things. Is it any wonder that people cannot make it past the first hurdle in their faith or fall away at the first tainted teaching if the Bride of Christ is not there to tend to these base spiritual needs they have.
Is discipleship key? Yes? Is discipleship a 3 week crash course in the Christian faith with God good and devil bad being the themes? No!
Take MY children! Raise them up! Point them towards their purpose and their sword that the may confidently stand and fight as a warrior in MY kingdom!
